Da Nang wants to establish bilateral ties with Ohtawara City

On Monday, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, played host to a delegation of leaders from Japan’s Ohtawara City, led by its Deputy Mayor, Mr Nagayaha Hayashi.

Vice Chairman Viet said that Da Nang is now home to over 92 Japanese representative offices and businesses.  He asked the Japanese Deputy Mayor to do his utmost to appeal for more Japanese businesses to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang’s trade, agriculture and education sectors.

The city leader added that the top focus would be to organise exchange visits for students from the universities in the two localities.  Special attention should be paid to boosting the bilateral cooperation in agriculture with a focus on intensive farming and cultivation techniques, as well as the production and supply of breeding animals and plants.

The Vice Chairman took this opportunity to appeal to Ohtawara City to promote the establishment of a friendly and cooperative relationship with his city in various aspects, but especially in culture, as soon as possible.
