Governor Suphan Keomyxay thanked the city leader for his warm welcome, and expressed his impression of Da Nang's rapid changes in recent years.  He hoped that the two localities will expand their bilateral cooperation in exploiting natural resources and developing tourism and services, in addition to those aspects already included in the mutual agreement for the 2013-2017 period.  He added that his top focus would be on re-opening the Da Nang – Savannakhet direct flights to promote their bilateral cooperation, exploit their full tourism potential, and to take advantage of Da Nang being the Pacific gateway for the East-West Economic Corridor.

The visiting guest also took the opportunity to thank the Da Nang authorities for their active support for his province in developing education and agriculture over recent years.  He would like Da Nang to continue teaching the Vietnamese language to his province’s officials and teachers, providing breeding animals and plants, and giving training courses on farming techniques.
