On 7 October, Hieu took passenger Nguyen Chinh Thanh, who comes from Ho Chi Minh City, from Da Nang to Quang Nam Province.  After dropping the passenger in the province, Hieu found a handbag in his taxi which contained over 20,000 USD in cash and some personal property.

Hieu immediately contacted his passenger and returned all the missing property to him on the same day.

Speaking at the reward meeting, Deputy Director Cuong highly praised Hieu for his honesty.  He remarked that Hieu’s good deed should be promoted in the society because each of local taxi drivers is considered to be a tourism ambassador for Da Nang in advertising the beautiful images of their companies, and the local tourism sector as a whole, to international friends.

In addition, on 11 October, another Vinasun taxi driver Truong Van Lai returned a dropped handbag in his taxi to its owner, 38-year-old Choi Jeong Hoon from South Korea.  The handbag contained a tablet, and over 260 USD plus around 250,000 KRW in cash.
