Speaking at the honouring ceremony, the Union’s Chairman Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said “The city is now home to over 22,500 businesses in total.  They have together created employment for a total of more than 305,000 local residents, and have made great efforts for the city’s socio-economic development, and significant contributions to its budget.”

Chairman Triet remarked that employees are the most valuable assets and decisive factors in ensuring the success or failure of a business.  He, therefore, highlighted the importance of increasing the living standards of businesses’ employees in order to enhance the quality of their production activities, and raise their competitiveness in the market.

The honourees have paid special attention to signing and implementing collective labour agreements to bring benefits to their employees, as well as organising dialogues between the employers and their staff.  In addition, heed has been paid to strictly implement policies relating to social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance to protect the rights of the employees.

Importance has been attached to ensuring labour safety and food hygiene, improving the quality of meals for employees, and enhancing their cultural and spiritual life.
