Chairman Tho urged the project's developer and its construction units to make even greater efforts to accelerate the construction of the road tunnel.  In addition, construction workers were asked to work 3 shifts a day to keep progress on track.

The city leader agreed to extend the deadline for fully completing the project to 29 October.

During his inspection visits to main streets in Hai Chau, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts, Chairman Tho asked the districts’ authorities to grow more flowers and green trees along main streets at their localities, as well as clean up and ensure environmental sanitation at local vacant land lots and pavements there.

Moreover, owners of restaurants and temporary stores along main streets in these districts were asked to renovate, decorate or fence off their land in order to ensure the beauty of the urban landscape.
