Between 4 and 10 March, 25 tour guides from the Da Nang branch of Vietravel attended a training course on the central region's World Heritage Sites of Hue Citadel, Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.

Co-organised by the company, the United Nations Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the event intended to improve the professional skills of the tour guides.

The trainees were introduced by UNESCO and ILO experts to helpful information about the heritage sites and a tour guide’s role.  In addition, they took the opportunity to access the curriculum of the UNESCO heritage guide programme which has been introduced in 8 countries in Asia-Pacific, including Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, India and Cambodia.
