Last Saturday, police officers from the Drug Crime Investigation Team of the Thanh Khe District Police Station made an inspection of 37-year-old Cao Thi Bich Lan’s house in alley 30/5 on Dang Thai Mai in Thanh Khe District’s Thac Gian Ward. 

They found and seized 100 grams of methamphetamine, 250 ecstasy tablets, and other items at the house, and as a result Lan was charged with illegal drug trafficking.

The woman was the main suspect in a district police investigation into drug-related crime which began in late 2015.  Her husband was imprisoned last year for trafficking drugs illegally.  After his arrest, Lan had taken advantage of her husband’s relationships with drug dealers in order to continue the trafficking of drugs.

Lan is now being detained by the district’s police officers whilst further investigations are made.
