At 1pm today, the storm should be positioned on the eastern side of central Philippines, at latitude 13°3’N and longitude 123°8’E.  It is predicted to carry wind speeds of 118 - 149kph (level 11/12) near its centre.

During tomorrow, the storm will gather in strength and is expected to continue moving in a westerly direction at a speed of about 25kph.

Due to the effects of this storm, from this evening, the eastern part of the East Sea will experience strong winds at level 9/10 and very rough seas.

To prepare for the arrival of the storm, the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control and Mitigation has asked relevant agencies in the coastal areas from Quang Ninh to Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces to keep local fishermen well informed about the storm’s direction and development so that they can take safety measures and avoid affected areas.
