On Wednesday, the Da Nang Red Cross Association handed out material donations from France’s Les Mains Ouvertes Association to 167 disabled people who come from very poor families in the city.   The donations, together worth over 380 million VND, were given to 120 people with mobility impairments, 35 deaf children, and 12 with cerebral palsy.

The donated items included hearing aids, wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches.

Da Nang now has more than 21,000 people with disabilities.  Over recent years, they have faced many difficulties in their daily lives, despite receiving significant assistance from the city’s authorities and local social organisations.  Many, therefore, are still in need of help from generous contributors to help them improve their spiritual and material lives.
