Over recent days, a large number of exam candidates and their parents from across the country have flocked to Da Nang to take the 1^st phase of this year's university entrance exams in the city on 4 and 5 July. 

Many students from the Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Quang Nam and Quang Binh Fellow Countrymen's associations in Da Nang are making themselves available at the coach station to help their fellow countrymen.

In addition, local volunteers at the train station, the University of Education, the University of Technology, and the College of Technology have been busy offering considerable assistance to exam candidates.

As its contribution to the 2014 Giving Strength in the Exam Season programme, the city's Young Entrepreneurs Association has given about 30 million VND to help 150 poor exam entrants from Quang Ngai Province.  The money has gone to give free lunch portions and lodgings to the examinees, as well as transport them to exam venue and anywhere else they want to visit during their stay in Da Nang. 

In addition, 2,500 free meals, which have been donated by the Da Nang Youth Union and the municipal Students' Association, are being provided for examinees and their relatives.
