The city’s branch of the Tan Hong travel company organised the visits of Dream Cruises’ Genting Dream, carrying 2,600 passengers mainly from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and Seabourn Cruise Line’s Seabourn Sojourn which brought 452 visitors from European countries.

The 3rd ship, Star Cruises' SuperStar Virgo, brought 1,000 passengers, mainly from Hong Kong and China, on a visit arranged by the local branch of the Saigontourist company.

More than half of the total passengers were taken on tours to popular attractions in Da Nang and neighbouring localities, including the Ba Na Hills Resort, the Linh Ung Pagoda, the Marble Mountains Tourist Area, Hue City, and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.  In addition, some passengers enjoyed a city tour by cyclo, went shopping at local markets, and visited popular local tourist sites.

The Genting Dream and Seabourn Sojourn departed in the evening, whilst the SuperStar Virgo stayed overnight in the city and will leave at 6.00pm today (18 January).
