City leaders visit some of local companies after Tet

On Wednesday, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council, Mr Huynh Nghia, visited and extended his Tet wishes to leaders and staff of the city’s Power Company.

Over the Tet Festival, the company ensured sufficient power supplies for daily activities of local families.  The company’s maximum power output was 2.9 million kWh on the 30th day of the 12th lunar month.

During his visit on the same day to the Civil Engineering Construction Company No 545, the municipal People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, praised the company for its remarkable achievements over last year.  In particular, the company earned 450 billion VND in revenue, paid 30 billion VND in tax to the city's budget, and created job opportunities for over 300 people.

Vice Chairman Viet took the opportunity to ask company to continue its efforts to fulfil this year’s targets, with focus on completing the construction of the Highway 1A extension project to Quang Nam Province, and opening it to traffic as soon as possible.

Also on the same day, the municipal PC Vice Chairman, Mr Vo Duy Khuong, paid a visit to the 29 March Textiles and Garments Company. 

The Company’s General Director, Ms Pham Thi Xuan Nguyet, said that the 1st phase of the company’s Veston factory was put into operation last May.  The factory was installed European technology suit production lines with an annual capacity of 200,000 units. 

The company has so far exported 30 containers of suits, and its products have won the trust of its clients.  The company’s industrial production value rose by 21% year-on-year to 316.4 billion VND, and its total export turnover hit 33.2 million USD.
