As part of their recent working trip to the Czech Republic, a delegation of Da Nang’s leaders, led by municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, met with representatives of Czech tourism agencies to promote bilateral tourism cooperation.

Ms Veronika Jerichova, a senior official from Czech Tourist Authority (Czech Tourism), said, in recent years, Viet Nam has gradually become a popular destination for tourists from the Czech Republic, and Europe as a whole. She also affirmed CzechTourism and tourism associations in the Czech Republic are willing to support mutual tourism promotion activities.

Mr Michal Veber, the Executive Director of the Association of Czech Travel Agents, said Da Nang is a very inviting destination, especially possessing beautiful beaches, good service quality, and great potential for attracting international travellers. He suggested that Da Nang should develop a strategy to introduce its images and tourism services to its European partners and travellers through the establishment of cooperation relationships and its participation in annual international tourism conferences and exhibitions.

In reply, Vice Chairman Chinh confidently said, given his city’s tourism development potentials, as well as the smooth operation of Doha-Da Nang non-stop service and the upcoming opening of Ha Noi - Prague (Czech) route, Da Nang will focus on promoting its image and speeding up closer cooperation with travel agencies in East-Central Europe, and the European market at large.

In addition to appeals for the Da Nang-based travel agencies to participate in international tourism promotion events, the city is willing to welcome famtrip and presstrip delegations from the Czech Republic.

Within the framework of their visit, the Da Nang visitors worked with representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic so as to discuss bilateral cooperation opportunities with Czech tourism and commercial businesses, thereby establishing the cooperative ties between Da Nang and a certain Czech locality.
