The World e-Governments Organisation of Cities and Local Governments (WeGO) has announced that Da Nang is one of 5 cities to have won a WeGO Award for their outstanding e-government development projects.  The awards ceremony took place at the 3^rd WeGO General Assembly on 5 November in Sichuan Province’s capital Chengdu, China.

The WeGO Awards is a biennial project to recognise outstanding e-government performance in cities worldwide.  The awards are classified into five categories: services, efficiency, open city, urban management and digital divides.  Nominations for this year’s event came from a total of 68 cities across the globe.
