During his talk with Head of the Department of External Relations under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) Jose Ramon Balaguer, Secretary Nghia briefed the Cuban official on Da Nang’s socio-economic progress over recent years as well as its development orientations for the coming years.

In particular, the city Party chief affirmed his city’s desire to exchange experiences with Cuba in such aspects as construction, tourism management, education, healthcare and high-tech agriculture.

The city leader also stressed that the visit aims to concretise the results attained during the visit to Cuba made by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in March, thus expanding the bilateral relations in a more practical manner.

In reply, Mr Jose Ramon Balaguer introduced his Da Nang visitors to the CPC’s activities during the process of updating the socio-economic model in the current context of the world’s new challenges.

During their stay in Cuba, the Da Nang delegation laid wreath of flowers at a monument dedicated to the late President Ho Chi Minh in the capital city of La Habana, and visited the Embassy of Viet Nam in Cuba and some typical cultural and economic establishments in the host nation.
