Over 40 IT employees from the region are attending a training course entitled “Application of Information Technology (IT) in the Management of Hospitals” between 1 and 7 July.  It is a part of the “Supporting Healthcare Services in the Southern Central Coastal Region” project which has been launched by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.

The project, which is funded by loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has been running since 2009.

During the 7-day course, the participants are introduced to the use of management software which helps to simplify administrative procedures at hospitals in the region, especially district-level hospitals and those in remote areas.  In addition, they also have a chance to learn about ways to enhance IT applications in order to ensure the efficient management of hospitals, as well as to reduce pressures at work.
