Surveillance camera imagery led the Da Nang Police to arrest a suspect who allegedly stole a motorbike in Hai Chau District’s Hoa Cuong Bac Ward.

22-year-old Huynh Duc Huy from Thanh Khe District’s An Khe Ward was tentatively charged with burglary after his arrest on Monday.

The burglary happened at around 5.30pm on 3 November at 295 Y Lan Nguyen Phi Street. The victim is 24-year-old Le Thi H. from Thua Thien Hue Province and her stolen vehicle is Sirius motorcycle with the registration plate 75E1-146.

Images taken 3 November showed Huy allegedly taking the victim’s Sirius motorcycle.

Police officers from Hoa Cuong Bac Ward recognised Huy from the images and he was then arrested.

Police records show Huy had previously many convictions for motorbike theft, and he was released from jail on 6 May.
