2.49 billion VND donated to 4 survivors of deadly collision

Representatives from the Da Nang General Hospital recently handed over a total of 2.49 billion VND, all donated by generous donors nationwide, to 4 lucky survivors of a deadly road traffic crash occurred in Quang Nam Province’s Dien Ban Town in the early morning of 30 July.

Amongst, 650 million VND went to 65-year-old Nguyen Khac Cat, 931 million VND to 48-year-old Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, 605 million VND to 6-year-old Duong Nguyen Truc Han, and 303 million VND to Dang Xuan Tien who is the same age as Han.

Ms Tran Thi Khanh Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Hospital, said that since the 4 patients were rushed to the hospital in very critical conditions, the hospital’s doctors and nurses have been done their utmost to save their lives.

“Currently, Mr Cat and Mrs Oanh are gradually recovering their health, and they are expected to be discharged from the hospital over the next few days. Meanwhile, Han and Tien have been discharged from the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital after many days of treatment”, she added.

Also at the hand-over ceremony, the recipients already donated 60 million VND from the total to poor patients who are in need of financial assistance to cover their treatment costs at the Da Nang General Hospital.

On 13 August, a representative from the Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital handed over a total of around 3.9 billion VND, all donated by generous donors nationwide, to Tien and Han.

Accordingly, Tien received a bank savings account book, worth 2.141 billion VND, and Han got a bank savings account book valued at 1.746 billion VND.
