‘Ao Dai’ is the embodiment of the Vietnamese female beauty and charming, and it is national apparel symbol of the Vietnamese people. With the purpose to introduce cultural Vietnamese identities to visitors arriving in Da Nang, the Risemount Premier Resort Danang is proud to be the first place to organise ‘A story of Ao dai’ in the city-the programme on traditional Vietnamese long dresses and arts performances of the 3 Vietnamese regions.

The highly impressive arts programme aims at serving domestic and foreign tourists, hereby contributing to the enrichment of locally-developed tourism products.

Organised in the resort’s luxurious convention hall with modern equipment, the programme features an ‘ao dai’ fashion show, along with a series of traditional arts performances. Included are the Hue royal court music, dragon dance, drumming, Tet tradition in the northern region, and wedding rituals in the southwest region.

During the event, the audience members also experience lotus tea, blossom wine, traditional snacks.

The Ao Dai Story show runs from 7.30pm - 8.30pm from Tuesday to Sunday at 120 Nguyen Van Thoai, My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

Mr Bui Duc Long, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vicoland Development House and Construction Group cum founder of the Risemount domestic brand-a chain of high-end real estates, hotels, residences and resorts, highlighted the significance of ‘Ao Dai Story’ in offering a chance for international visitors to gain a deeper insight into the distinctive Vietnamese cultural values.

According to some local tour operators, the ‘Ao dai Story’ programme is increasingly emerging as one of the most popular draw cards for international tourists, especially those from South Korea.

Having watched an impressive dancing performance highlighting to the allure of ‘ao dai’, Ms Yang Ha Eun, a South Korean visitor eagerly said, wearing the traditional long dresses and ‘non la’ (conical hats), the artistes look more charming and lovely. “During the rest of my stay in the city, I will buy a set of ‘ao dai’ and try it on”, said Ms Yang.

Each night, the ‘Ao dai Story’ attracts between 50 and 100 visitors. In order to increase this figure in the coming time, the event organiser will focus on cooperating with travel agencies to add this programme to their tour packages for visitors from both home and abroad.

Hopefully, the event is expected to become very inviting to visitors arriving in this beautiful seaside city.
