Da Nang currently secure fourth position in the National Sports Festival 2018 medals tally with 27 gold, 22 silver, and 40 bronze medals lined up on Day 22.

On 6 December, the city's team continued to have a successful competition day when taking 3 more gold medals on Day 22 of the ongoing National Sports Festival 2018 in Ha Noi.

Billiard player Le Viet Toan was crowned champions and took the gold in the internal final of the men’s singles category after beating his teammate Nguyen Thanh Binh.

In the bowling competition, the men’s team, comprising Dao Manh Truong, Bui Anh Tung, and Huynh Ba Phuoc, earned the gold.

In addition, talented swimmer Hoang Quy Phuoc along with his male relay teammates namely Ngo Dinh Chuyen, Tran Dinh Thanh and Hoang Pham Nhat Minh grabbed the gold in the 4 x 200m freestyle relay race.

Boxers Tran Quang Nhan and Ngo Sy Cat took bronze medals in the 60kg and 81kg categories respectively. Meanwhile, boxer Nguyen Van Gioi advanced to the final of the 56kg category.

Muay Thai fighter Nguyen Minh Hoang added a bronze medal in the 57kg category to the Da Nang team.

In the men's semi-finals, the local football team suffered a 0-1 defeat to Nghe An.
