To date, 40% of the viewing stand seating along the eastern bank of the Han River, which will eventually offer 21,000 ticketed seats, has been constructed.  Meanwhile, the main stage floating on the river, featuring modern sound and lighting systems and large screens, is expected to be put into use before 20 April.  Also, construction of 25% of the the firework launching locations near the former Han River Port has been completed.

The municipal People’s Committee (PC) Vice Chairman cum Head of the municipal Department of Publicity and Training, Mr Dang Viet Dung, asked relevant local agencies to join efforts with Sun Group to discuss the setting up of another viewing stand near the eastern end of the Han River Bridge.

The local authorities will widely publicise ticket prices and the designated sites for vehicle parking for DIFF spectators.

The Department of Culture and Sports will conduct rehearsals for the parades of eye-catching flower-decorated vehicles representing the 8 participating countries, along with ones from Da Nang.  The specific schedule and routes of the parades will be publicised amongst the general public.

The city’s Tourism Department and local tourism associations will jointly remind the owners of local hotels to ensure food safety and hygiene, and to widely declare their room rates in order to avoid confusing their customers.  They will also suggest that the hotel staff should recommend to their customers the various interesting cultural activities on the sidelines of this international large-scale event in order to promote their participation.

Heed will be paid to ensuring market price stabilisation during the upcoming event, protecting consumers’ rights, fighting against the trade in fake, counterfeit and smuggled goods, and guaranteeing local security.
