Announcement of winning bidder for shared infrastructure project at Lien Chieu Port

A consortium comprising the Phu Xuan Construction and Consulting JSC, the Lung Lo Construction Corporation, the Truong Son Construction Corporation, the DACINCO Construction Investment Company Limited and the Xuan Quang Construction JSC has been selected to construct the shared infrastructure for the Lien Chieu Port project in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang.

The shared infrastructure construction in the new port will be carried out at a total cost of VND2,945 billion funded by national and municipal budgets.

The contract implementation duration shall last 1380 days, including 300 days to be set for completing legal procedures related to the contract.

Lien Chieu Port is one of three deep-water seaports in Viet Nam. The project consists of 2 components. Component A comprises of main work items such as dikes, breakwater systems, navigation channel, turnaround places and marine signaling systems, electricity and water supply infrastructure and ancillary works synchronously to the port gate. Component B, covering a total area of 44ha, includes 2 wharves (750 square meters).

The development of shared infrastructure of Lien Chieu Port will meet the infrastructure requirements for the development of two initial wharves capable of receiving cargo ships of up to 100,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) and container ships with loading capacities from 6,000 to 8,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEUs), as well as handling a combined total of 3.5 to 5 million tonnes of cargo per year.

The Lien Chieu Port project will be implemented during the 2021-2025 period at a total cost of more than VND 3,400 billion funded by the national and municipal governments. Of which, over VND 2,900 billion will be allocated from the central budget during the 2021-2025 period, whilst the remainder will come from the city's budget.
