Young man with great passion for startups

Le Anh Tien, a resident of Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District, has won many technology awards at the municipal and national- level competitions over recent years.

The 30-year-old man is now a CEO of the Chatbot Viet Nam JSC. He has been recently named amongst Viet Nam’s ten outstanding young persons of 2019 in the category of Startup-business in the rankings of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Since being a pupil, Tien has had a special passion for applied sciences. Tien won many notable prizes at the municipal-level amateur informatics contests for senior high school pupils. He also claimed a bronze medal at a national -level creative contest for teenagers and children.

During his 4 years of studying at the Da Nang University of Science and Technology, Tien developed around 20 scientific research projects, and some of his projects won the Vietnamese Talent Awards in 2011 and 2015, and the Golden Globe Awards 2015.

After graduating from the university in 2015, the young science-technology talent worked for the VP9 Viet Nam Technology JSC.

In late 2017, he founded the Chatbot Viet Nam JSC specialising in providing diverse chatbot solutions embedded into popular messenger platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Zalo or Viber that answer customers’ questions and help them place orders without the need for a customer service officer.

After 2 years of development, Chatbot has been popular with many large businesses and the company received many awards at home and abroad.

Specifically, the Chatbot Vietnam company won the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards in 2019. It was one of the 12 Vietnamese startups to compete in the finals of the GIST Tech-I Competition 2019 organised by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Also last year, the company won an award for a technology solution in the ‘E-business’ category at the UN’s World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in the Switzerland.

To date, Chatbot has attracted more than 10 million users in Viet Nam, Taiwan, the USA, South Korea and Japan.

The number of the company’s members has risen to over 30 from 5 after one year of development.

CEO Tien plans to develop Chatbot Vietnam into a leading technology company in Viet Nam and improve its ranking in the world in the future.
