The Da Nang government has approved to grant more than 759 billion VND to expand the existing APEC Park in Hai Chau District’s Binh Hien Ward.

Developed by the Management Board of the Da Nang Infrastructure Construction and Urban Development Projects, the expansion project is expected to be implemented during the 2019 - 2022 period.

The soon-to-be-expanded APEC Park will be bounded by Bach Dang Street to the east, 2 September Street to the west, Binh Minh 4 Street to the south, and the existing APEC Park to the north.

Covering an area of 8,668m², the expanded area will consist of a public park, a stroll garden associated with an existing sculpture garden, a main stage, a water fountain, a stage for organising cultural events, a playground for children, greenery areas, a parking area, and underground public toilets.

The expansion of this wonderful cultural landmark aims to create even more green spaces in the heart of the city, and allow diplomatic events and festivals to be held here as well.
