City receives over 3,300 cruise ship passengers

Luxury cruise ships Costa Atlantica and MS Chinese Taishan, both of which carried a combined total of more than 3,300 Hong Kong and Chinese passengers, docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port on Thursday morning.

These ship were arranged by the Pacific Legend Tourism and Service Company and Khang Huy Holiday Viet Nam Travel Co Ltd, respectively.

During their short stay in the seaside city, the passengers visited such some of its tourist-packed attractions as the Museum of Cham Sculpture, the Da Nang Cathedral, Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong (classic drama) Theatre, the Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Marble Mountains Tourist Area.

The visitors were also taken to the markets of Con and Han, BigC Mall, and Lotte Mart for shopping.

On the evening of the same day, the ships left the central coastal city for other destinations.

According to the latest figure released by the municipal Department of Tourism, since early this month, the city has welcomed a combined total of about 8,600 international passengers from 6 cruise ship arrivals.

The passengers visited some popular attractions in Da Nang, the Hue Imperial Citadel in the namesake city and Quang Nam’s Hoi An.
