Born in the Highlands - the land of coffee, Mr Ho Duc Tien, the Director of the MaYaCa Coffee Co Ltd, said he had a strong passion for coffee when he was a university student.

After graduating from university, he worked at a coffee factory where he had closer access to foreign documents about how to make clean coffee. Sometime later, he decided to quit his job in order to devote his time and efforts to develop his own safe and clean coffee brand name.

In 2015, Mr Tien made a manual coffee roaster by himself, but his finished products did not meet evolving tastes and preferences of his customers as they had an unpleasant bitter or acrid taste.

However, not once did he think of refusing to give up in spite of his difficulties. He still said no to additives, and artificial colours and flavourings, to ensure the health of his customers.

Finally, Mr Tien's great efforts were paid off as his coffee products won trust of his customers.

One year later, the dedicated man built his first coffee production facility in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward.

Despite many difficulties, Mr Tien bravely borrowed hundreds of millions of VND to purchase many coffee production machines such as coffee makers, roasters, and grinders.

Mr Tien said he was facing a lack of capital to build his new coffee production facilities and buy more advanced coffee production machines.

However, he has been exerting his efforts to develop his new products, satisfying the needs of customers.

At the present, E'Mayaca has achieved many outstanding achievements as having providing nearly 5 tonnes of espresso beans for Da Nang and other central regional localities.

Notably, E’Mayaca has cooperated with material suppliers in the Highlands, and has established the E’Mayaca Farm in Gia Lai Province’s Mang Yang District, in a bid to strictly control input materials and reduce production costs.

Early this year, Mr Tien officially opened his Mayaca Garden Coffee in Son Tra District.

In the coming time, he sets a target of popularising safe and clean coffee to more customers, as well as closely working with coffee distributers to promote the consumption of high-quality coffee beans made by local farmers.
