A meeting to assess some of the planning projects and their architectural designs to be deployed this year was held in Da Nang on Tuesday.  The event was co-chaired by municipal Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho, People’s Committee (PC) Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, and PC Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.

A new cardiovascular centre at Da Nang General Hospital will be built on the former sites of the Department of Transport and the Son Tra 2 Hotel, both on Hai Phong Street.  The construction of the 2,100m2, 300-bed centre is estimated to cost a total of 240 billion VND.  Also, a branch of the local Traditional Medicine Hospital will be constructed on the former site of the Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs at 342 Phan Chau Trinh Street.

In addition, approval has been given by the city’s leaders for the creation of the Co Man relic site at the Hoa Xuan Eco-urban Area in Cam Le District, and the Go Ha relic site in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Khuong Commune.  Some freshwater shower areas will also be established at the Phu Loc and Xuan Thieu beaches to meet the needs of beachgoers.

In order to meet the increasing demand for clean and safe water at the Ba Na Hills Resort, a 1.2ha containment dam, with a capacity of 4,000 m3, will be built nearby.  The resort’s developer will take responsibility for planting replacement trees and protecting the environment of the surrounding landscape.
