Following recent approval from the Da Nang authorities, the city's Fund for Sponsoring Children will implement a project to help local disadvantaged children in 2014.

Funded by the Assemblies of God/World Relief (AOGWR) from Australia, the 900 million VND project will be deployed in some districts of the city.  In particular, special attention will be paid to helping children who are living in Hoa Vang and Ngu Hanh Son districts, and those who are members of the local Association of Blind People.

The focus will be on developing and improving the skills of those who are involved in the project.  In addition, the project aims to improve access to clean water for poor children and their families, as well as promote the implementation of the city’s eliminating hunger and reducing poverty programme.

Priority will also be given to improving the quality of health care and medical services to create favourable conditions for local physically disabled children to access orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation.
