For his part, Vice Chairman Cuong informed that in November 2023, the Prime Minister approved Da Nang Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Accordingly, the city eyed becoming a large, ecological, smart, unique, sustainable urban area on an international level, serving as a focal point for the connection and development with networks of regional and international urban areas; an international tourism centre associated with an international event centre; hi-tech and IT industrial centres; a start-up and innovation centre; an international financial centre on a regional scale; and a livable coastal city in Asia.

Mr. Cuong asked Ambassador Olivier Brochet to act as a bridge to boost the bilateral cooperation ties between French localities and Da Nang in various fields; as well as appeal for French investors to visit Da Nang to survey the investment environment and seek business opportunities.

At the same time, he showed his great support for cultural exchange activities between France and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

In the near future, a group of Da Nang’s officials will pay a visit to France. Therefore, the city leader asked for support from the French ambassador to introduce and connect partners in France, especially the cities of Paris and Le Havre.

In reply, Ambassador Olivier Brochet pledged to support the business trip to France made by the city leaders in the coming time, hoping that the visit will achieve many good results.
