Da Nang leader sends congratulations on Lao traditional New Year

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Wednesday, led a group of officials to visit the Lao Consulate General in the city on the occasion of Laos' traditional New Year (Bunpimay) in 2024.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, Secretary Quang wished Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang and all staff of the Lao Consulate General a healthy, happy and prosperous new year.

At the same time, he hoped that the relationship between Da Nang and the south central provinces of Laos in particular, and the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos in general, will be increasingly tightened.

Secretary Quang expressed his desire that officials and employees of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang will continue to well complete political tasks and contribute to further deepening the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Lao localities in the coming time.

In reply, Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang expressed his joy when welcoming the city delegation on the occasion of Bunpimay Festival. At the same time, he thanked the city leaders for their special attention and timely support for the Consulate General of Laos over recent years.

The host expressed his belief that the good relationship between Da Nang and the south central provinces of Laos will continue to reap more positive results in the future.
