The 7^th Science and Technology Forum entitled ‘Connecting Knowledge - Creating Future’ recently took place at the Da Nang University of Technology and Education.

Jointly organised by the university, and Ha Noi-based Hoa Lac Hi-tech Service Centre, the event attracted a total of over 200 students and young scientists, along with members from business incubator centres, plus representatives from universities and junior colleges, from across the central region.

Students from the universities of Technology and Science, Technology and Education, Architecture, and Duy Tan, presented their creative ideas and innovations in science and technology, at the forum. Included were gravity-powered generator, robot waiters, and prawn pond cleaning vehicle.

Also at the event, a national startup portal under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology was launched at http://startup.gov.vn.

The portal offers its users useful information on latest technologies, creative ideas and innovations, along with metrology and quality standards. In addition, incentive policies and preferential programmes to support startup businesses, detailed information about investment funds, as well as national and international events relating to startup support activities, are also introduced.

Especially, portal users can acess start-up portals from Da Nang, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and even other countries worldwide.
