The event, the 4th of its kind held in the city, has been jointly organised by the Hai Chau District People’s Committee, and Ho Chi Minh City-based Phuong Nam Cultural Company.

The 5-day event features a total of around 200 stalls introducing and selling new books released by over 50 domestic and foreign publishing houses, including Phuong Nam, Fahasa, Dong A, Nha Nam, Dinh Ty, Kim Dong, and Tiki. Most notably, the number of this year’s stall has increased by 40 against that of last year.

Highlights of this year’s event are fascinating exchange activities between local readers and such famous domestic writers and singers as Gao, Rosie Nguyen, Phan Y Yen, Hoang Thuy Linh, and Duc Phuc. Also, numerous meaningful talk shows, and exciting arts performances are scheduled to be held during the fair.

In addition, the Da Nang Information and Communications digital magazine will host an event entitled ‘I Study Well’ at the fair to grant scholarships to local studious pupils.

Furthermore, the municipal Youth Union will organise a road race to appeal for donations of used books from local residents. The event aims to highlight the significance of doing exercise and reading books in maintaining a healthy body and mind respectively.
