SHB Da Nang claimed a 1-1 away draw against Ho Chi Minh City Club at the Thong Nhat Stadium.

Do Merlo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute thanks to his superb header at goal, and, after their first goal, SHB DN played with great confidence, and created many chances to score more.

In the 33rd minute, defender Dang Van Robert’s accurate header levelled the score at 1-1.

In an effort to turn the tide of the game, SHB coach Le Huynh Duc asked his players to strengthen their attacks from midfield instead of their long passes in order to take more control of the game.  However, SHB DN players did not create any scoring opportunities in the second half.  The game finally ended with the score still 1-1.

The other match results were:

Quang Nam 1-1 Becamex Binh Duong

Song Lam Nghe An 2-0 Sai Gon FC

Sanna Khanh Hoa 4-2 Hoang Anh Gia Lai

              Quang Ninh 0-0 Can Tho

                      Ha Noi 4-0 Long An

The V League will now have a break of around 2 weeks to allow the national football squad to prepare for the qualifying rounds of the ASIAN Cup 2019.    The league season will resume on 13 October, and SHB DN will face Long An at home on 15 October at 5.00pm.
