A wide range of cultural activities will be held in Da Nang over the next few weeks to welcome in the New Year and the Tet Festival.

A musical performance entitled “Merry Christmas” will take place at the Trung Vuong Theatre on 15 December, whilst the Da Nang Guitar Concert will be held at the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre on 20 December.  A musical festival will also be held on 21 December at the Eastern Sea Park.

An LED lights festival and the New Year Countdown Party will take place on 31 December at the city’s 29 March Square on 2 September Street.

The first-ever “Decorations for the Festive Season” event will take place along Bach Dang Street from 22 December to 5 January.  Organised by the city’s branch of the Vietnam Brewery Limited, the event will feature giant LED sphere screens, with musical performances and 3D decorative lights.

On lunar New Year’s Eve (30 January), a special musical performance entitled “Welcoming in Spring 2014” will be held on Tran Hung Dao Street.  On the same day, local residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a free musical performance at the city’s Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre.

The city will welcome in the Lunar New Year 2014 with spectacular fireworks displays, set off from 4 locations along the banks of the Han River at midnight.
