The HARNN Heritage Spa in the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort has been honoured as ‘Asia’s Best Resort Spa’ and ‘Viet Nam’s Best Resort Spa’ at the recent World Spa Awards Ceremony 2016 in Italy’s Sardinia.

The spa successfully defeated 9 outstanding rivals elsewhere in Asia to bring home the ‘Asia’s Best Resort Spa’ title.   Meanwhile, the spa also surpassed 3 other nominees to win the ‘Viet Nam’s Best Resort Spa’ award.

This is the 2nd consecutive year that the HARNN Heritage Spa has featured in the World Spa Awards.  It was named as the ‘World's Best New Hotel Spa’ at last year’s awards ceremony.

Set on a quiet lagoon away from the main resort facilities, the spa’s treatment rooms and villas share the same tubular shape as Quonset huts and are covered in a greenish tint of rusted copper.

Crafted from healing wisdom passed down through generations, the venue focuses on restoring the natural balance of the body and mind.  Inspired by the practice of traditional Asian medicine and naturopathy, each HARNN treatment is thoughtfully designed to enhance the customer’s wellness.  Only the finest botanical ingredients are used to create restorative harmony and health.

Complemented by the skilful techniques of the spa’s professionally-trained therapists, the spa gives its customers the ultimate in pampering and relaxation.  Taking luxury a step further, the spa also provides treatments at the Sun Peninsula VIP Departure Lounge of the Da Nang International Airport.

The World Spa Awards is a dynamic awards programme, launched in 2015 and designed to drive up standards within spa tourism by rewarding the organisations that are the leaders in the field.  It is the sister event of the World Travel Awards™, which is celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year.

The World Spa Awards programme has categories for the Best Hotel Spa, Best Resort Spa, Best Wellness Retreat, and Best Spa Destination, each awarded on a national and regional level.
