The Da Nang authorities have recently approved the city’s trade promotion programme for the 2016 - 2020 period.  The intention is to enhance the city government’s assistance to local businesses in order to help them increase their competitiveness in the context of global integration.

The programme’s target is to encourage around 7% of local businesses to enjoy benefits from the programme each year.  In addition to the existing annual fairs, 2 others will be organised in the city every year.

One focus will be on boosting the advertising of the city’s trade promotion activities in the mass media.  Importance will be attached to conducting surveys of domestic and foreign markets, and creating more exchange opportunities with partners from both home and abroad.

The implementation of the programme is expected to cost around 62 billion VND.  Of this, more than 15 billion VND will be from the city’s budget, over 17 billion VND from the national budget, and the remainder will come from fees which will be collected from businesses participating in the local annual exhibition fairs.
