Three check-in models have been already installed at public locations in Da Nang, aiming to enhance the promotion of Da Nang tourism, and create a fresh atmosphere for locals and tourists, in order to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2024.

Specifically, the ‘I Love Da Nang’ pinwheel model is at a public park on the western end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge on Bach Dang Street, opposite the headquarters of the Viet Nam Television Centre in the Central - Highlands Region (VTV8).

Accordingly, a total of more than 30 large and small-sized pinwheels are arranged to create a unique and attractive pinwheel garden alternating light systems, all creating brilliant colour effects.

The spiral shape of pinwheels creates beautiful highlights in the space. The pinwheels spin when there is wind, creating sparkling circles in the air, representing a city full of energy and vitality.

The "I Love Da Nang" letter set and the Da Nang travel chat bot model help to create a highlight for visitors when coming to Da Nang.

According to a spokesperson for the Da Nang Department of Tourism, this model, designed by architect Nguyen Viet Tien, is among the top 15 winning ones at a contest to design Da Nang tourism check-in models in 2021.

The light pine tree model, and Chatbox icon of the Da Nang tourism industry, are installed at the northern campus of the Dragon Bridge in Son Tra District.

The highlight of the model is a 13m-high light pine tree with LED lights and a 3m-high Da Nang travel Chat-bot, all surrounded by clusters of Christmas miniatures such as gift boxes and glittering baubles, plus the message "Enjoy Da Nang".

This is expected to be an ideal virtual check-in corner for both residents and tourists during Christmas.

Besides, right at the corner of the Dragon Bridge, there are additional Christmas miniatures including snow houses, reindeers and Santa Claus, contributing to making this check-in point more attractive to visitors, especially children, to take photos.

Sparklingly lit reindeers at night are also a highlight of this year's Christmas season.

The colourful model of 2024, designed with a modern, youthful style, has been installed at the western end of the Dragon Bridge, opposite the Museum of Cham Sculpture.

Inspired by the colour background of the Danang Fantasticity logo, the model is expected to create a space full of hope and optimism in the New Year 2024 with many good things.

A representative of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said these are the design models chosen from the department-launched contest to design highly attractive check-in models in the city in 2021.

The first-ever contest aimed to seek the best ideas for creating highlights for local tourism, satisfying the diversified needs of check-in visitors, and enhancing destination competitiveness through architectural and aesthetic uniqueness.
