Da Nang Border Guards launch campaign to curb organised crime at sea

The Da Nang Border Guard Command is launching a compaign from December 1, 2022 until February 28, 2023 to combat organised crime at sea in relation to human trafficking, smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2023.

The focus is on taking drastic action to crack down on illegall activities at sea related to drug crimes, smuggling and trafficking of illicit goods by sea, commercial fraud, human trafficking, illicit trafficking and use of firearms and explosives, illegal entering and leaving the country. In addition, all necessary measures will be taken to detect, deter, respond to and prevent maritime security threats. The aim is to ensure security and order on the city’s maritime border and stabilize market prices during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Besides, importance will be attached to increasing patrols, strictly controlling maritime border, seaports, checkpoints, crossings, suspected areas, and more. Heed will be conducting regular and surprise inpections on key areas and times to proactively detect and prevent crimes at sea.
