The combined impacts of an intense cold front and eastern wind turbulence at high attitude will be blamed for a widespread stretch of heavy downpours in Da Nang and elsewhere in mid-central region from tomorrow, Saturday into next Tuesday, 1 December, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said in its latest bulletin.

The provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri will be heavily soaked with a total average rainfall of ranging 50-100mm, even over 150mm in some of their parts for the next 5 days.

Meanwhile, the higher rain amount hovering at 150-400mm is reported in Thua Thien –Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, even exceeding 450mm in some of their parts.

Da Nang is forecast to see cloudy and soaking weather with the rain accumulation of up to 400mm for the weekend and upcoming week.

Da Nang’s mercury is likely to witness a slight drop to only 23 – 27 degrees Celsius in the daytime, and turn a bit chilly at dawn and night.
