A total of over 3 billion VND was poured into the implementation of the project ‘Caring for and educating orphaned and poor children with very difficult circumstances in Da Nang’ over the 2018 – 2019 school year.

In the past academic year, under the project, children are cared for and nurtured fully in terms of healthcare and spiritual life.

In addition to their academic studies at local schools, a total of 123 disadvantaged pupils at primary and secondary levels, residing in the districts of Thanh Khe, Lien Chieu and Hai Chau, attended free-of-charge community-based courses on some basic subjects.

Funded by the USA-based The Giving it Back to Kids, a non-profit corporation dedicated to helping kids achieve their maximum potential through medical care, education, nutrition and love, the project has been implemented since 2012 by the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection.

Currently, a total of more than 70 orphaned and poor children aged 4 to 18, enjoying benefits from the meaningful project, are being cared for at charity shelters located in the districts of Ngu Hanh Son and Thanh Khe.

Presently, the disadvantaged children are given spiritual, material, nutritional, healthcare and educational aids, as well as are supported to continue their studies at universities, junior colleges and vocational training schools. In addition, they are offered career orientations in order to clearly understand their future careers.

In addition, the project helps the beneficiaries reunion with their families after finishing their studies and finding a stable job.
