Many domestic and foreign businesses operating in Da Nang expressed their desire that the Da Nang authorities would do their utmost to solve problems relating to infrastructure, and investment environment, along with electricity and water supply systems, in industrial parks (IPs). The intention is to help the companies based in IPs promote their production activities, and ensure the legitimate rights and benefits of their employees.

Mr Nguyen Thanh Phuc, General Director of the city's branch of Heineken Vietnam Brewery, underlined the importance of ensuring a stable power supply for businesses based in the Hoa Khanh IP in case of sudden power cuts.

Also, he remarked recently the Cau Do (Red Bridge) River has been suffering from severe saltwater contamination, which is adversely affecting water supplies for industrial production activities.

Mr Phuc underscored the necessity for functional bodies to deal with drainage and flooding problems in the Hoa Khanh IP due to heavy rain.

President of the Tokyo Keiki Precision Technology company Tsuyoshi Ando asked construction units to accelerate the building of infrastructure at the Hi-tech Park.

The focus should be on constructing an overpass at the entrance roads to the IP in order to ensure the traffic safety for road users, and a parking area for IP workers, as well as installing traffic lights along the bypass to the IP.

Mr Tran Van Linh, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Joint Stock Company, said, currently, apartment buildings are unavailable in the city for employees who are working for the Da Nang Seafood Services IP. This has caused lots of problems for the recruiters.

He, therefore, urged the municipal authorities to appeal for domestic and foreign businesses to build apartment buildings for IP workers in order to ensure social welfare and stabilise labour resources for businesses operating in the city.
