Currently, the Da Nang Water Supply Company (DAWACO) is building a temporary water dam from about 3,700 sandbags at water regulation gates at the mouth of the Quang Hue River in Quang Nam Province’s Dai Loc District.

The work is being implemented under the agreement between the Da Nang and Quang Nam Province authorities with the intention of ensuring that the majority of the water flow from the Vu Gia River will be released into the Yen River where the An Trach Dam is located.

As of 8 March, more than 1,200 sandbags had been used to build the dam.

The work is expected to be completed in the next few days in order to ensure the effective exploitation of water sources to provide sufficient water supplies for residents’ daily lives, agriculture and industrial production in the city.
