On 9 March, Gam’s husband Ngo Ba Khanh and 2 others were hired by a seafood restaurant on Ha Huy Tap Street, Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, to make repair to the aquarium there. Khanh was drilling a hole in the water tank when he suddenly was fatally electrocuted on the spot.

Since Khanh’s unexpected passing, the poor family has fallen into even more financial distresses. Gam said in tears, in the coming time, she doesn’t know how to manage to raise up her children, two of whom are 7 and 4 years old respectively, whilst the remaining one is only a one-and-a-half-month baby.

The poor widow added, she had to quit her low-paid job because of fatigue during her pregnancy with her third child, and her intention of spending much time taking care of her school-aged children at home as well.

The poor mother of three is currently in very desperate need of financial assistance from benevolent philanthropists from both home and abroad to help her cover the family’s living expenses in the coming time, and especially, assist her school-aged children to continue with their academic dreams.
