Adjustment has been already made to a digital clock at the roundabout of Ngo Quyen and Pham Van Dong streets in Da Nang to count down to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW)  in the city from 5 - 11 November.  The successful trial operation of the clock took place on Tuesday.

The total cost of the design and installation of the clock has been funded by the city’s Holiday Beach Danang Hotel & Resort.

Most notably, the clock has been recognised by the Viet Nam Record Association as the largest of its kind in the country.

The 21.7m long and over 5m high clock is installed at an angle which ensures visibility for road-users.  The clock features the digits which indicate the days, hours, minutes and seconds left to go.   Also, the APEC logo is installed on the top left corner of the clock and the logo of the APEC Viet Nam 2017 event on the top right corner.

A ceremony will take place in the city soon to officially start the countdown.
