A meeting to review Da Nang’s socio-economic development tasks over the first quarter of this year recently took place in the city.  The event was jointly chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, and the Head of the Publicity and Training Department of the city’s Party Committee, Mr Nguyen Thanh Quang.

With regard to the implementation of the Lang Van tourism area, Vice Chairman Anh said that the project’s developer had made a commitment to implement the project on schedule.  He added that the developer had contributed 200 billion VND to the city’s budget to ensure the best preparations for starting the project.  In addition, the municipal and district’s authorities have provided spiritual and material assistance to 69 households displaced from the city’s Hoa Van Fishing Village, also known as “Hansen’s Oasis”.  They are now resettled in terraced houses in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Nam Ward.
