The programme aims to arrange for Lao students to live with local hosts/ families during their studies in Da Nang.

Under the programme, a total of 100 Laotian students will be arranged to live with  local host families in the districts of Hai Chau, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Lien Chieu, and Ngu Hanh Son between 30 November and 14 December.

Notably, the Lao students will receive 1 million VND each from the budget of their district accomodation  for their participation in this programme.

The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee cum President of the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship Association in the city, Mr Ho Ky Minh, hoped that, during 2-week staying with the local host families, the Lao students would grasp the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the culture of Vietnamese people, and enhance their Vietnamese language proficiency as well.

More significantly, since its inception in 2011, the programme has helped to deepen the long-lasting traditional friendship and solidarity between the people of Viet Nam and Laos.
