Creation of beach walkways underway

The Da Nang People’s Committee has given the nod for the municipal Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction to create 5 beach walkways in Ngu Hanh Son District in order to allow public access to beaches easily.

In particular, the first coastal footpath will be created at between the Furama Resort Danang and the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex in Khue My Ward, and the second at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street in My An Ward.

The others will be on the southern side of the Hoang Dat Silver Shores Exceptional International Entertainment project, on the northern side of the Song - Danang Beach Villas project, and on the southern side of the Future Property Invest tourism area project.

Currently, the first footpath is nearly completed and it is expected to be completed in December.

The 39m-long and 3m-wide footpath is underway at an estimated cost of 2.172 billion VND funded by the city budget. It is being paved with cubic stones in order to ensure the synchronicity with the existing walkway at the Ariyana Danang Tourism Complex.

The Management Board is making every effort to complete compulsory procedures for the creation of 2 new beach walkways at the end of coastal Ho Xuan Huong Street and on the southern side of the Hoang Dat Silver Shores Exceptional International Entertainment project before 31 December.

Work is scheduled to start on beach walkways on the northern side of the Song - Danang Beach Villas project and on the southern side of the Future Property Invest tourism area project in December.

Under the detailed plan, this footpath will have 3m-wide road surface and 2 pavements of 3m in width each. In addition, the focus will be on planting ornamental trees along the footpath, installing power supply and automatic watering systems, and creating stairs leading to sandy area.

A coastal public park with the intention of promoting public beach use will be created at the site of the Hon Ngoc A Chau coastal tourism project on an area of 71,806m2 in the district’s Khue My Ward.
