15 contestants compete in Star Awards' Da Nang final round

A total of 15 candidates, on Monday, competed in the Da Nang final round of the National English Contest for Vietnamese Students (Star Awards) 2022.

In the final round, the contestants were divided into 5 teams with 3 members each to compete in the categories of warm-up, speed-up and project presentation.

As a result, the ‘Zenstars’ team consisting of Bui Thao Ly from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Da Nang, Nguyen Ha Anh Ngoc from the Highlands University, and Nguyen Thi Anh Thu from the University of Da Nang Campus in Kon Tum Province won the first prize.

The ‘Entropy’ Team comprising Dang Quynh Chi and Hoang Ai Phung both from the University of Economics - University of Da Nang, and Pham Bach Viet from the University of Science and Technology - University of Da Nang, claimed the second place.

‘The Three Warriors’, ‘Shyning Lasses’ and ‘Star wars’ teams shared the third prizes.

In addition,top 3 students, namely Tran Thi Phuong Trinh from the University of Foreign Language Studies - the University of Da Nang, Bui Thao Ly and Dang Quynh Chi were selected to represent Da Nang at the final round of Star Awards 2022 entitled ‘GenZ - Digital Transformation Thinking’ which is slated to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on December 18.

Initiated in 2015 by three main university clusters in Viet Nam, the Star Awards contest helps to create an English playground for university students quality, and increase their awareness about the importance of a foreign language in studying and their future career.
