Da Nang’s winning team will advance to Viet Nam’s national final round of the Star Awards 2020 which is scheduled to take place in Da Nang in early August.

The finalists will take the general knowledge test and present their ideas as well as their plans to realise the ideas in English before a panel of judges. Besides, they can attend training activities, market tours and pay a visit to popular tourist attractions in Da Nang.

Initiated in 2015 by three main university clusters in Viet Nam, the Star Awards contest helps to create an English playground for university students nationwide, and increase their awareness about the importance of a foreign language in studying and their future career.

Hosted by the University of Da Nang from May to August 2020, this year’s contest has attracted around 50,000 students from 150 universities and colleges nationwide.  Da Nang has the highest number of contestants in this year’s contest with more than 15,000.

Under the theme of Technovation, this year’s event promises to bring so much more interesting experience for the contestants through three rounds - Starship, Starlight and Star Union.

The prizes, which include cash and in-kind services, will be 400 million VND awarded for this year's competition.
