This event was as part of the ongoing P2A - ASEAN In One 2018, themed “Discover the Future now and Get Ready for Smart Cities and Industry 4.0: Opportunities and Challenges for ASEAN Students”, which will run until 19 August.

The meeting aimed at helping the participating ASEAN students gain a deeper insight into the opportunities and challenges in the current context of the thriving Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0.

Furthermore, the participants had the opportunity to enhance their communication skills in English, boost relationships and create a foundation for accessing international employment opportunities in the future.

P2A is a non-profit network that was officially formed in June 2012 during the First Assembly of Representatives hosted by the Rangsit University in Thailand and attended by representatives from Cambodia’s Norton University, Viet Nam’s Duy Tan University, the National University of Laos, and the Myanmar Computer Institute of Myanmar.

During this time, the concepts of P2A were established, which were based on the vision of the ASEAN Charter: “One Vision, One Identity” and creating “one caring and sharing community”.

P2A is driven by the need for regional solidarity and a shared responsibility towards people and society as a whole. This organisation was initiated with the principle that higher education should be a leader in the development of society.

Today, the network of P2A has expanding to a total of 81 universities, colleges and research institutes in ASEAN. Seven of them are from Viet Nam, namely the universities of Duy Tan, Van Land, FPT and Vung Tau, and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Law, the Ha Noi University of Science and Technology, and the Dong Nai Technology University.

Every 6 months, a P2A Partner Meeting has been summoned in alternate member nations.
